Hair Removal - Waxing
Waxing is a method of semi-permanent hair removal which removes the hair from the root on up. New hairs will not grow back in the previously waxed area for two to eight weeks. Almost any area of the body can be waxed, including eyebrows, face, bikini area, legs, arms, back, abdomen and feet.
Hard Wax
Hard wax is applied thicker than soft wax and removed without strips. Unlike soft wax, hard wax does not stick to the skin, which makes it less irritating. It is used for the face, underarms, bikini and Brazilian. Spa Paradiso uses Berin’s Blue, a high end French depilatory wax. Warmed at low heat, the wax is applied just above skin temperature making it gentle yet effective. The creamy texture makes it less brittle and sticky than traditional waxes.
Soft Wax
Soft waxing is accomplished by spreading a wax combination thinly over the skin. A cloth or paper strip is then pressed on the top and ripped off with a quick movement against the direction of hair growth. This removes the wax along with the hair. The recommended use for soft wax is arms, legs, back and chest. Spa Paradiso uses Berin’s Ease for soft waxing.
